Nutrition and Injury Prevention

Webmaster, Video Editor, Online Producer

As a healthcare professional for over 25 years with a background in the areas of emergency and critical care, you would think that experience alone would suffice in the credentials required to educate our dancers in nutrition and injury prevention. However, Peggy also brings to her seminars her unique knowledge gained from working as a research nurse/study coordinator at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. Where she learned first hand the impact that injury/trauma has on the human immune system and how nutrition plays an essential and vital role in not only preventing injury, but also in the body's ability to heal after an injury.  She has created a novel approach by bringing her unique background to her nutrition and injury prevention seminars using audiovisuals and literature, providing students interesting and educational information not found elsewhere. As a member of IADMS at ballet tech® of ohio she promotes her vision and mission of cooperation and communication to collaborate within the fields of science, medicine and dance with her "Grow A Great Dancer"® program.
